ANET, there needs to be a faster way to switch maps...
ANET, there needs to be a faster way to switch maps between Factions / Prophecies / Arenas. We're sick of having to jump to a specific town for each map then having to switch to the town we actually want to go...

Annoying, yes. Major improvement would just be clicking on the ship, then selecting where to go, and only the MAP changes, and you can pick the outpost to head to from the map.

Well, being on a fast computer, the current system is no problem. But since I have on a slow computer map travel is a real pain.
One solution, the map of Guildwars World (no idea what the name of the realm is) should be joined either at the top or the bottom with an arrow icon that enables to you flip the map over.
When you are in your guild hall, there is another option to zoom even further into the "real" world map so u can see tyria/cantha again.
This shouldn't be hard to implement.
But there are a hundred other things with Guildwars and this is very low on my list of things to do.

they should make an option to switch maps ... instead of jumping to one of ONLY 3 towns before the map switches ...

Original poster is right, all that map switching is major pain & waste of time.
Solution would be for the devs to put in an interface toggle, that when toggled on, from there you can select from a drop-down list of any outpost your character has access to.

/signed - the ship (obviously) will go to the two most laggy cities on each map, because the ship goes there. It can take me several minutes to switch completely over to another area. Something else should be done. perhaps dropping us in our own instance?

I was thinking mayeb we could bookmark around 5 towns to instantly travel to when we click the ship. My computer usually is decently fast in loading areas but for me Kaineng always lags. I'd get a bookmark on somewhere liek Senji's Corner so I had a quick way to change secondary. Then places like Droknars, the current mission your on, the town you farm from, etc etc.

Dang, soooo right why didnt we think about it... lol (not)
You see, there's a difference between your solution and the solution some people are proposing. Thats about 800$. So unless you agree to mail a 800$ check to everyone in these forums with computers that dont load in .09 seconds, the suggestions are better.

Actually while the buy new computer/internet solution would be expensive to to you, the change to the code would cost ANet probably around the same amount, programmers don't work super cheap you know.

I like the ship idea.
If your in Cantha, and you click the ship, it should have 2 options, PvP areans and Tryia, click on one of them, they give you the selected map, and then find the town you want and warp in there
It's a simple update really.
